When you install and run JamKazam, a couple of folders are created and used to store useful information about your setup and recent interactions:

- The JamKazam configuration folder - contains your audio profiles, your settings, a table of ARS servers ranked by latency to you, and a number of other pieces of information JamKazam uses when it loads the application.

- The JamKazam cache folder.

Those are not the actual names of the folders - both folders are named "JamKazam" but they are in different locations on your computer.

When you remove these folders, you are creating the equivalent of a new installation on a machine that has never run JamKazam. Usually there's no need to reinstall the actual application binary. When you reinstall, these folders are not removed, so you may run into issues if you had them before (which is often the reason for reinstalling...)

This article explains how to remove both of these folders.
