JamKazam is integrated with your browser to deliver a number of important features, including:

  • Displaying video of the musicians in your session
  • Downloading music notation and other files shared during sessions
  • Making video recordings with our OBS Studio integration in sessions
  • Live broadcasting your sessions with our OBS Studio integration thru YouTube and other platforms
  • And more

To give you control over your user experience, we offer a feature that lets you select what browser you want JamKazam to work with. This may or may not be the same as the default browser for your computer - it's up to you.

That said, it's worth noting that due to integration limitations imposed by Safari, for now we can only support the Chrome browser for making video recordings and for live broadcasting sessions, so you'll need to set Chrome as your preferred JamKazam browser if you want to use these features. Your choice won't affect your browser preference or use for anything other than JamKazam. If you want to use Chrome with JamKazam but don't have Chrome on your computer, you will need to install it.

To specify your preferred browser for JamKazam, follow our simple instructions below.

First, click the Manage menu (at the top left of Mac screen or top left of JamKazam app on Windows). Hover your mouse over the Video Settings option, and then click the Video Configuration option (pictured below).

You will now see a dialog box with your video settings (pictured below). Click to select your preferred browser for JamKazam, and then click the OK button. That's it!
