You know how sometimes you’re playing in a great session, and you are totally vibing with another musician you don’t know? And then you exit the session and think later “Who was I playing with? I should have connected with them. They were awesome.” This happens all the time. Now you can go back through your JamKazam session history to find those special people, message them, and send them a friend connection request.
To get started, go to https://beta.jamkazam.com/sessions/history. You'll see a page that lists the sessions you've joined, ordered by most recent at the top (screenshot below).
For each of your sessions, you'll see a list of musicians who were in the session, along with the instruments they play and their latency rating to you. To get more information about any musician from a previous session, simply click on the musician's name in blue text. When you do this, the musician's profile will be displayed on the right side of the page (screenshot below).
On the profile, you'll get more detailed information on the musician's location, latency, skill level, and so on. Click on the blue Send Message button at the bottom of the profile to message this user (screenshot below).
To connect as a JamKazam friend, click the blue Send Friend Request button. If sending a friend request, you may also want to send a message, reminding this person you were in a session together and enjoyed playing with them, so that they have a context for your friend request.
Updating Your Profile
Keep in mind that others may find you through this same feature, so be sure to visit your JamKazam profile page at https://beta.jamkazam.com/profile (see screenshot below) to update your instruments, genres, your bio paragraph, and so on. When others look back through their sessions and click on your profile, it will help them find and remember you, too!
