JamKazam has a number of video features you can use to enhance your jamming experience.

Once you have set up your webcam, you are ready to use video in your session.

Note: A new video system is under development. The current system, known as "Standard Video" has shown to be quite resource-intensive, especially when there are a lot of people in a session. It is usually fine for one or two players, but if you encounter problems in sessions with more players, the video system may be at the root of the problem.
If you determine that this is the case, you may want to try using the new browser-based video system. Its integration into JamKazam is currently limited, but it works well when there are more players in the session.

To use the video system:

  1. If you are the hosting the session, (you are the one who starts it) choose Standard from the Video System dropdown menu in the Create Session page.
  2. From the Session page, click Video. The JamKazam video window opens, using your camera. Anyone who enters the session can see your camera output.
  3. As others enter the session, they can click their Video buttons to add their camera output to the video window. (assuming their webcams have been set up).
